Kandou AI was founded in 2011 by Dr. Amin Shokrollahi as an EPFL spinoff, born from a mathematical insight that would transform chip connectivity. The company pioneered Chord signaling, a novel approach that sends groups of bits as a single mathematical unit, enabling data transmission with dramatically reduced power consumption and extended reach. In 2025, Kandou evolved into Kandou AI with a focused mission: democratizing Artificial Intelligence by making it affordable and accessible to everyone.
