This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the full lifecycle of internal application development, from design and coding to testing and maintenance. You will work closely with multiple business units to gather requirements, develop Windows-based applications, and support internal databases. The position involves collaborating with teams and third-party vendors to integrate systems, deliver reporting solutions, and enhance operational efficiency. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain internal databases (SQL, NoSQL, Databricks) and Windows-based applications.
- Collaborate with business units and end users to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Support existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide maintenance as needed.
- Work with third-party vendors to integrate systems or support application development.
- Assist in researching, testing, and deploying reporting projects.
- Follow a structured software development lifecycle, including code changes, testing, and deployment.
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation of work, updates, and planned changes.
- Partner with Business Analysts to understand needs, research solutions, and recommend appropriate technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of programming experience with Windows technologies.
- Proficiency in C#, WinForms, WPF, .NET Framework/Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and SQL Server/Azure.
- Familiarity with MSMQ, WCF, Microsoft Azure App Services, and basic Visual Basic.
- Exposure to additional languages or frameworks such as PHP, Node.js, or Python is a plus.
- Experience with shell scripting and hardware/PLC communications preferred.
- Ability to travel occasionally for global or regional meetings, workshops, or training.
- Willingness to join calls outside traditional office hours as needed.
