This role is ideal for a detail-oriented web developer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will manage, optimize, and maintain WordPress-based websites to ensure high performance, accessibility, and security while supporting organizational initiatives. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, leading accessibility and security efforts, and delivering a seamless user experience. You will actively contribute to web strategy, implement updates and enhancements, and ensure compliance with WCAG and ADA standards. This position offers the opportunity to drive impact across digital channels while growing technical and project management expertise.
Accountabilities:
- Maintain and optimize WordPress websites to ensure performance, usability, security, and accessibility.
- Manage web content requests: intake, triage, prioritization, assignment, SLA tracking, and status updates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement updates and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain WordPress themes and site functionality.
- Lead accessibility audits and remediation efforts to ensure WCAG and ADA compliance.
- Track, analyze, and report operational metrics and recommend improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website functionality, performance, and security issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a WordPress developer.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer and vendor interactions.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong follow-through to drive requests to completion.
- Bonus skills: WordPress certification, proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, website security, and performance optimization.
