The Transportation & Commute Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting and managing employee commute and mobility programs at local worksites. This role involves developing site-based strategies, implementing multimodal transportation initiatives, and promoting sustainable commuting practices to reduce congestion and parking demand. You will collaborate with internal teams, local stakeholders, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of programs and policies. The role also includes analyzing transportation data, coordinating events, and enhancing employee engagement through communications and outreach initiatives. Accountabilities:
- Manage day-to-day transportation operations at local worksites, providing support to remote operations as needed.
- Serve as the primary contact for site leadership, communicating deliverables, escalating issues, and tracking project progress.
- Develop and implement multimodal transportation strategies, including Vanpool, Transit, Carpool, and Commute Coaching programs.
- Gather, analyze, and report site-based transportation metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities such as commuter fairs, bike safety campaigns, and outreach events.
- Coordinate with internal vendors and external partners to manage programs, policies, and events.
- Oversee budgets, contracts, purchase orders, and vendor invoices, maintaining accurate forecasts.
- Maintain transportation web pages, contribute to employee forums, and support consistent program delivery across multiple sites.
Requirements
- 5–9 years of experience in transportation, urban planning, marketing, communications, outreach, or facilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis using spreadsheets and other tools.
- Project or program management experience, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Knowledge of local transportation stakeholders, policies, and issues.
- Experience with transportation planning concepts, demand management techniques, and employee communications.
- Familiarity with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), website management, and project management software is beneficial.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and adaptable, able to work effectively in a small team environment.
