This role is a hands-on technical leadership position at the core of building modern, scalable full-stack applications. You will act as the go-to expert for React and Node.js solutions, shaping technical standards while guiding delivery across complex projects. Working in a highly collaborative, remote-first environment, you will influence architecture decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices. The position offers the opportunity to work on impactful, real-world products across diverse industries. You will balance strategic technical leadership with active development, ensuring robust, secure, and maintainable systems. Accountabilities:
- Act as the technical lead for full-stack applications built with React, Node.js, and TypeScript
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend architectures using Node.js frameworks
- Contribute to and enforce coding standards, tooling, and technical best practices across projects
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality solutions
- Lead code reviews, promote reusable components, and ensure high test coverage and reliability
- Support architectural decisions around databases, integrations, authentication, and cloud services
- Mentor engineers and actively participate in Agile delivery, estimation, and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with strong expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript
- Solid backend experience with Node.js frameworks and PostgreSQL databases
- Experience with GitHub and modern development workflows
- Strong understanding of unit testing practices, including Jest
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative delivery environments
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Nice to have experience with NestJS or Express.js, schema validation, cloud services, CI/CD, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Python for ETL, or SSO integrations
