We are seeking a skilled Technical Engineer with expertise in Starburst Enterprise Platform (SEP) to join a dynamic, cross-functional team. In this role, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of technical solutions, ensuring their reliability, performance, and alignment with organizational goals. You will collaborate with IT, analytics, and business teams to implement and optimize SEP infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and provide insights for decision-making. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is capable of supporting a broad range of technical initiatives from design through production. Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Starburst Enterprise Platform solutions to support business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, analytics, and product teams to provide technical solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide progress updates on projects and production activities.
- Document technical processes, participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, and contribute to technical reviews.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to SEP and data infrastructure.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support system reliability and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing technical solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Starburst / Trino architecture, including coordinators, workers, connectors, and security features.
- Experience managing software applications using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm Charts, and GitLab.
- Solid SQL skills, particularly with Trino dialect, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, communicate technical concepts, and support decision-making.
- Adaptable, solution-oriented, and committed to continuous learning of new technologies.
- U.S. citizenship required due to contractual/access requirements.
