As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and scaling advanced data-driven solutions for high-impact measurement and analytics systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, data science, and engineering, delivering robust and efficient solutions that support global operations. Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend systems and APIs to support large-scale data solutions.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain high-quality production code in Python and/or Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with product and business requirements.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency through thoughtful engineering practices.
• Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship, and guide team members on best practices.
• Apply observability strategies and monitor system performance to proactively address issues.
• Influence architectural decisions across teams to ensure robust and innovative solutions.
• Leverage data analytics tools (e.g., Spark, Hive, Databricks) to support measurement and insights initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and Java, with experience maintaining code in both languages.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and API integration best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and ownership mindset.
• Experience with AWS, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL databases.
• Background in data analytics platforms and observability tools.
• Excellent communication skills to guide collaboration across distributed teams.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate, challenge the status quo, and deliver scalable solutions.
