This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver advanced AI-powered web applications that make clinical data more usable, accurate, and actionable. You will work in a collaborative, agile environment alongside cross-functional teams, building scalable and accessible user interfaces using modern frontend technologies. The position emphasizes technical leadership, including mentoring engineers, guiding architectural decisions, and championing best practices. You’ll contribute directly to impactful healthcare innovations, leveraging your expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript frameworks, and frontend architecture while integrating AI capabilities to enhance product performance and user experience.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain AI-driven web applications with high performance, scalability, and accessibility (WCAG compliance).
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while collaborating on technical designs with other engineers.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement effective solutions.
- Implement innovative technical solutions to enhance product functionality and user experience.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing frontend best practices.
- Collaborate in Scrum teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business requirements.
- Lead discovery and reduction of technical debt, proactively addressing system impacts.
- Advocate for technical standards, automation strategies, and architectural alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of frontend development experience, with a strong track record of delivering complex web applications, preferably in AI, healthcare, or life sciences domains.
- Expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+); working knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Advanced experience with Angular or React, including state management tools like RxJS, Redux, NgRx, or Zustand.
- Proficiency in building enterprise-grade UIs using component libraries (e.g., Kendo UI) and implementing designs from Figma or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of WCAG and responsive design principles, CSS methodologies (SCSS, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS), and frontend performance optimization.
- Familiarity with API integration (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets), Node.js, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of SSO, OAuth2, web security best practices, and feature flag tools (LaunchDarkly, Unleash).
- Experience in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Cypress, Playwright).
- Experience mentoring engineers, influencing architectural decisions, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, including NLP and prompt engineering, is a plus.
- Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and staying current with frontend and AI technologies.
