Software Engineer - Trading Platform

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-scale, data-intensive trading platforms, contributing to the design and development of backend systems that process and transform large volumes of financial data. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and deploy backend Java applications and APIs that integrate with diverse data sources and services.
• Collaborate with platform users and engineering partners to understand requirements, identify priorities, and develop scalable solutions.
• Contribute to the architecture and system design of the trading platform, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.
• Build, maintain, and optimize automated data ingestion and transformation workflows.
• Work closely with cloud platforms, leveraging AWS or similar services to deploy and manage services.
• Participate in agile development practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, and iterative delivery.
• Foster a culture of ownership, automation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, with experience in backend development and scalable systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and service-oriented architectures.
• Knowledge of databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, or data lake architectures.
• Familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and RESTful API development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
• Experience in agile methodologies, with the ability to balance experimentation and structured processes.
