Software Engineer, Elixir (Remote - US)

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Elixir-based services that power innovative software products. You will work across the full technology stack, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions. Accountabilities

As a Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Elixir services supporting core products.
• Work across the full technology stack, including infrastructure and application code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on project priorities and deadlines.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, including software outages, security risks, and deployment challenges.
• Conduct research and prototyping initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Participate in constructive code reviews and collaborate with UX designers to enhance product usability.
• Prepare and contribute to team meetings, sharing insights and updates.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience with Elixir-based software development.
• Strong understanding of frameworks and technologies such as Elixir, React, PostgreSQL, and LaunchDarkly.
• Experience with SQL, database management, and handling migrations.
• Hands-on experience with Git version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Knowledge of defensive security strategies for client and server systems.
• Ability to read and adapt unfamiliar codebases safely and efficiently.
• Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and pragmatic design skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to open-source projects is a plus.
