We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer II to lead application architecture initiatives within a dynamic, multi-product platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing scalable, resilient solutions, collaborating with engineering teams to implement best-in-class features, and ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple products. You will evaluate new technologies, work on proofs-of-concept, and drive architectural improvements to support growth and performance. Accountabilities:
- Own overall application architecture and ensure scalability, resilience, and maintainability across platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design optimal solutions for new features and modules.
- Develop proofs-of-concept and benchmark technologies to guide architectural decisions.
- Implement best practices for development and champion adoption across teams.
- Lead projects with junior engineers, ensuring timely delivery with minimal errors and high-quality outputs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address technical requirements at an organizational level.
- Contribute to the product roadmap and identify opportunities for architectural improvements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on web development experience.
- 2+ years of experience designing software architecture.
- Strong expertise in frontend technologies, including TypeScript, DOM manipulation, and UI frameworks.
- Proficiency with React and understanding of modern frontend patterns.
- Experience leading small engineering teams (2–3 engineers) on project delivery.
- Knowledge of micro-frontends and module bundlers is a plus.
- Experience with high-scale production applications and cloud architecture (GCP/AWS) is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design pattern knowledge.
- Passionate about producing performant, production-quality code and exploring emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
