This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (5+ Years in SRE + Network Engineer (L3) + Software Development (C#.NET/VB.NET/Python/Node.js)) in India.
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems by combining deep software development expertise with advanced network engineering skills. You will design, develop, and maintain tools and services while diagnosing and resolving network-related issues across production environments. This role requires strong proficiency in programming languages such as C#.NET, VB.NET, Python, or Node.js, along with hands-on experience in network technologies and protocols. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and implement best practices. Operating in a remote-first, distributed team environment, this position demands proactive problem-solving, strong technical acumen, and excellent communication skills. Work hours are 3:30 PM IST β 12:30 AM IST, accommodating global collaboration.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain critical tools and systems using C#.NET, VB.NET, Python, or Node.js, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network-related issues, applying L3 network engineering expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, uptime, and optimal performance across production environments.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions to enhance system resilience and operational efficiency.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to maintain business continuity.
- Conduct code reviews, share technical insights, and mentor junior engineers to elevate team capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, combined with network engineering (L3) and software development.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C#.NET, VB.NET, Python, or Node.js; 3GL development experience is required.
- Experience with Visual Studio Code or Visual Studio Enterprise for application development.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, troubleshooting, and enterprise network systems.
- Certifications are highly desirable, including Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Wireshark Certified Analyst (WCA), and CCNA.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team environment and manage priorities in a global context.
