Senior Software Engineer - React Native (Remote - Latam)

In this role, you will play a key part in building a mobile application that guides users through their personal growth journey. You will craft polished, interactive experiences where every gesture, animation, and transition delights users while integrating AI-driven features. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, real-time mobile systems, optimize performance, and ensure smooth, responsive interactions across devices. This role combines technical excellence with creativity, offering the chance to influence user engagement and behavioral design in a meaningful way. Accountabilities:

• Develop and enhance the React Native mobile app, implementing smooth animations, micro-interactions, and polished UI transitions.
• Build and maintain real-time systems using WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, or GraphQL subscriptions, ensuring reliable streaming AI responses.
• Optimize app performance for long-running sessions, maintaining 60fps consistency and efficient memory usage.
• Integrate with backend services for authentication, billing, analytics, push notifications, and offline sync.
• Ship core user experiences, including onboarding flows, conversation threads, search/export functionality, weekly insights, and privacy controls.
• Implement feature flags, CI/CD pipelines, and manage end-to-end deployment to App Stores.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience shipping React Native apps with a focus on polished animations and smooth interactions.
• Expertise in React Native Reanimated for transitions, gestures, and micro-interactions.
• Strong foundation in TypeScript with scalable, maintainable architecture patterns.
• Experience with real-time systems and streaming data handling (WebSockets, SSE, GraphQL subscriptions).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox.
• Proven ability to optimize memory usage and maintain high-performance apps.
• Passion for designing engaging experiences that motivate behavior change and personal growth.
• Bonus: Experience with Lottie animations, Expo EAS, serverless backend patterns, or avatar/character animation systems.
