Senior Software Engineer (Python) - AI/ML

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing AI/ML-powered features that enhance a high-performance cloud database platform. You will work across the full technology stack, from backend inference services to intuitive frontend interfaces, creating scalable APIs and integrating models into production systems. Your work will enable users to extract meaningful insights from large-scale data efficiently and interact with AI/ML functionalities seamlessly. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to developer tools and SDKs, and ensure robust monitoring, versioning, and observability for deployed models. Accountabilities:

• Design and implement AI/ML-powered features across the full stack, from backend services to frontend interfaces.
• Develop scalable and robust APIs connecting database capabilities with AI/ML systems.
• Integrate models into production with proper monitoring, versioning, and evaluation.
• Build and maintain integrations with AI/ML frameworks, tools, and standards.
• Design developer tools, SDKs, and documentation to enable efficient use of AI/ML features.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless product functionality and user experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and integrating models into applications.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience in backend development, API design, and service architecture.
• Ability to take ownership and drive features from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), inference APIs, vector databases, and familiarity with database systems and data processing pipelines.
