Senior Software Engineer (.NET) - LATAM

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET) in Latin America.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to building and maintaining robust, high-performance backend services for a next-generation cybersecurity platform. You will design, implement, and operate APIs and distributed systems that help organizations protect their digital assets in real time. As the first LATAM-based engineer on the team, you will collaborate asynchronously with a Europe-based engineering team while providing technical support to US-based Customer Success and Sales teams. The position combines hands-on software development with opportunities to enhance developer experience, improve CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to architecture discussions. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in autonomous, high-impact environments and are passionate about solving complex, security-focused problems at scale.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams asynchronously and provide support during overlapping office hours.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cross-service and customer-impacting issues.
• Improve developer experience through codebase refinement, CI/CD optimization, and tooling improvements.
• Maintain and enhance distributed, event-driven systems using Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
• Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and promote shared ownership and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience and 7+ years in software engineering overall.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core for building scalable services.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL) and writing SQL queries.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong debugging skills for complex distributed architectures and microservices.
• Knowledge of API design, versioning, and best practices.
• Experience with ORM tools such as Entity Framework (EF).
• Solid understanding of Unit, Integration, and End-to-End testing.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work asynchronously across time zones.
• Bonus: Experience with GoLang, ReactJS/NextJS, TypeScript, and remote global team collaboration.
