We are seeking an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on delivering scalable, high-performance web applications for the travel and ticketing industry. In this role, you will work on developing new features, optimizing backend performance, and maintaining robust, reliable code. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other engineers to create seamless, customer-focused solutions. Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Ruby on Rails applications and backend services
- Implement new features and integrations, including payment processing methods
- Ensure high code quality, reliability, and maintainability through best practices and code reviews
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Manage databases and external service integrations
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
- Participate in team discussions, product planning, and technical problem-solving
Requirements
- Expert-level experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Hotwire/Turbo/Stimulus or similar frontend integration tools
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Experience in high-paced, dynamic startup or scale-up environments
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt quickly
- Previous experience with ticketing systems or SaaS platforms is a plus
