As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the automation framework that ensures software quality and reliability across multiple platforms. You will take ownership of QA standards, mentor junior engineers, and lead the development of automated testing solutions that streamline manual processes and improve efficiency. Working in an agile environment, you will collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain robust automation pipelines. This role offers the opportunity to influence QA best practices, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high-quality software delivery in a remote-friendly, flexible work environment. Your work will directly impact the effectiveness, accuracy, and security of the company’s technology solutions.
Accountabilities:
- Architect, implement, and maintain automation test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop, review, and manage automation test scripts across web, API, and application environments.
- Execute smoke, regression, and functional testing to ensure high-quality releases.
- Collaborate closely with developers to integrate automated tests into the development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, fostering growth and best practices within the QA team.
- Adhere to all applicable privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold QA standards throughout the software lifecycle.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 4–7 years of experience in automation testing, particularly with Microsoft technologies (.NET, C#).
- Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver, Postman, GIT, Jenkins, Katalon, and SQL.
- Knowledge of web services/API testing, stored procedure automation, and legacy systems (VB6, classic ASP).
- Understanding of SDLC, SOLID principles, and object-oriented programming.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills across the technology stack.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with the healthcare industry is a plus.
- Experience designing and implementing automation architecture and mentoring team members.
