We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design and build high-performing, enterprise-grade applications that power complex business systems. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern frameworks and cloud-native architectures while contributing to critical system design and development initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable. As a senior member, you will also mentor junior developers, champion best practices, and drive technical excellence across the team. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java 8+ (including Lambda expressions), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs ensuring security, performance, and scalability.
- Apply design patterns and best practices to produce clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
- Work with MySQL and Spring JDBC for efficient data access and persistence.
- Implement batch processing solutions using Spring Batch.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS services including ECS, EC2, SQS, and CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute end-to-end technical solutions.
- Review code, provide mentorship, and ensure adherence to development standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Expert-level knowledge of Java 8 (with Lambda expressions) and strong OOP fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring JDBC.
- Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and cloud-native application design.
- Experience with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, SQS, and CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD automation using Jenkins pipelines.
- Solid experience working with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, enterprise application architecture, and system scalability.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver robust solutions with minimal supervision.
- Bonus: Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, CloudWatch monitoring, and Agile/Scrum environments.
