As a Senior Informatics Applications Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting clinical and operational technology solutions that enhance patient care and departmental efficiency. You will serve as a subject matter expert for clinical applications, managing complex projects, resolving incidents, and ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including providers, nursing, pharmacy, allied health, and laboratory/radiology to implement and optimize technology solutions. You will mentor colleagues in project management and technical processes while driving initiatives that improve patient safety, care quality, and operational workflows. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to advance patient outcomes. You will help bridge the gap between clinical needs and technical solutions, ensuring systems are both effective and user-friendly.
Accountabilities:
• Serve as a Health Informatics resource for assigned clinical departments, providing guidance on applications and workflows.
• Manage and maintain clinical applications, supporting updates, enhancements, and system integrations.
• Lead incident management processes, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues impacting clinical operations.
• Manage projects and programs within assigned areas, including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, implement solutions, and optimize technology usage.
• Mentor team members in project management skills and technical application knowledge.
• Act as a liaison between clinical teams and technical departments to ensure alignment of technology with care delivery objectives.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5–7 years of experience in clinical settings, health informatics, information systems, or IT.
• Associate’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience is also acceptable.
• Project management experience and demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives.
• At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (to be completed within 120 days of hire if not already certified).
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare technology applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to analyze systems, provide recommendations, and implement process improvements.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
