This role offers the opportunity to lead the front-end development of high-performing, scalable digital experiences within HubSpot CMS. You will design, build, and maintain dynamic websites and custom modules, integrating modern frameworks like React to create engaging user interfaces. The position requires a balance of technical mastery, creativity, and collaboration, working closely with designers, marketers, and back-end teams. Ideal candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in delivering responsive, optimized code while mentoring junior developers. This role allows you to shape technical architecture, ensure code quality, and contribute to innovative, best-in-class digital solutions.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain reusable HubSpot CMS themes, templates, and custom modules using HUBL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/ES6+.
- Implement dynamic front-end features and components, leveraging frameworks such as React.
- Lead technical scoping and execution for website migrations, rebuilds, and enhancements on the HubSpot platform.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional, pixel-perfect interfaces.
- Ensure all code is optimized for speed, scalability, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish front-end development standards.
- Interface with back-end teams to define API requirements and integrate data sources.
- Maintain awareness of HubSpot updates and emerging front-end technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of professional front-end development experience, including 2+ years in HubSpot CMS development.
- Expert proficiency in HUBL, HTML5, CSS3/Sass/Less, and modern JavaScript/ES6+.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React, for dynamic module creation.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles, mobile-first development, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with version control (Git), build tools (Webpack, Babel), and HubSpot APIs.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver optimized, semantic, and maintainable code.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and website development lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- HubSpot CMS Developer Certification required; other front-end certifications (React, etc.) are a plus.
- Portfolio of live HubSpot CMS projects is highly desirable.
