Senior Application Developer (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of complex software applications that support critical business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including business analysts, product owners, IT partners, and other developers—to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The role combines hands-on development, technical leadership, and mentoring responsibilities, providing a chance to shape project outcomes and improve team capabilities. You will be involved in full lifecycle development, support production systems, and drive innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Accountabilities

• Lead analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation of complex application enhancements, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and with high quality.
• Participate in the full system development life cycle according to established SDLC standards.
• Collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT teams to design innovative technical solutions for complex business needs.
• Provide technical support including release implementations, on-call, and 24x7 support as necessary.
• Mentor and guide less experienced team members, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, conduct technical walkthroughs, report status, and document solutions clearly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with multiple programming languages, databases, and project management tools.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and issue resolution skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring team members.
• Experience in healthcare or health insurance industry is a plus.
• Preferred certifications: Java Developer, DB2, or Cognos.
