We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ruby on Rails Engineer to join a fast-paced and collaborative development team. In this role, you will work remotely within EST/PST time zones, contributing to the design and development of scalable SaaS and big data solutions. You will collaborate closely with talented engineers, build robust back-end systems, and integrate applications with third-party services. This is an excellent opportunity to work on impactful projects while continuously sharpening your technical skills. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and test server-side features and scalable APIs.
- Integrate existing applications with third-party systems and APIs.
- Evaluate and select optimal technologies and approaches to solve complex problems.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, well-tested Ruby on Rails applications.
- Contribute to improving development workflows, code quality, and system reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in backend development using Ruby on Rails.
- At least 1 year of experience with modern frontend frameworks (React or Vue.js).
- Strong knowledge of Linux and experience with cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS, App Engine, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Skilled in integrating systems with RESTful APIs (OAuth, JSON).
- Self-driven, proactive, and passionate about solving complex problems in collaborative environments.
