This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer (Frontend Focused) in Europe.

You will join a fully remote, small senior team, working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end features with a focus on responsive, visually appealing frontends. Accountabilities:
- Build and maintain Ruby on Rails features end-to-end, including tests, focusing on clean and responsive frontend development.
- Develop user interfaces using modern HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and lightweight JS frameworks such as Alpine.js.
- Integrate third-party APIs including Meta, Google, Stripe, and HubSpot.
- Participate in support rotations to handle production issues and assist customer-facing teams.
- Collaborate with design, product management, and marketing to deliver scoped features and review pull requests for frontend quality.
- Deploy and operate applications on cloud platforms, monitoring performance and implementing improvements.
- Engage in mentor rotations to both receive guidance and provide mentorship to team members.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience developing production applications with Ruby on Rails, ideally in a SaaS environment.
- Strong frontend skills: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and building responsive user interfaces.
- Experience with lightweight JS frameworks (Alpine.js, HTMX, Stimulus) and RESTful API integrations.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including basic query optimization and maintaining testable, maintainable code.
- Familiarity with deployment platforms (Heroku, Render, or similar) and background job processing (Sidekiq).
- Curious, pragmatic, and autonomous, with excellent communication skills and a thoughtful approach to using AI tools for development.
