Python Sr Developer (Remote - US)

We are seeking an experienced Python Senior Developer to join a high-performing engineering team focused on building a next-generation settlement process for a FinTech environment. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based microservices and ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable transaction systems. You will work in an agile team, collaborating closely on sprint planning, code reviews, and feature implementation, while contributing to performance optimization and technical best practices. The position provides exposure to modern cloud computing technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and a fast-paced, innovative environment where your contributions directly impact the reliability and scalability of mission-critical systems.

Accountabilities

• Actively participate in agile (scrum) development activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and task estimation.
• Design, implement, and modify new and existing features in Python, with Django frameworks.
• Develop and maintain RESTful web services, unit tests, and functional tests.
• Collaborate with team members through code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend or implement optimizations.
• Adhere to established management procedures, security policies, and company best practices.
• Support operational tasks such as quality assurance and customer testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional Python development experience with Django.
• Strong object-oriented design and programming skills.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL, database programming, and ORMs.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, and Linux development environments.
• Preferred: experience with cloud computing (AWS preferred), SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, microservices, and DevOps concepts including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent teamwork, adaptability, curiosity, and integrity in collaborative environments.
