This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Python Developer for CloudLinuxOS in Europe.
In this role, you will contribute to the development and optimization of CloudLinuxOS, a leading operating system trusted by thousands of servers worldwide and powering millions of websites. You will be responsible for backend development, writing clean and efficient code, and ensuring it is covered with thorough unit and functional tests. Your work will directly support improving security, efficiency, and reliability in shared hosting environments. You will collaborate with global teams, investigate and resolve complex issues, and drive technical innovation while enjoying the flexibility of fully remote work. Accountabilities
As a Python Developer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing backend features for CloudLinux projects using Python.
- Writing unit tests and functional tests to ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Investigating and resolving issues reported by clients, partners, or the support team.
- Collaborating with the third-level support team to provide technical guidance and solutions.
- Creating technical documentation for new features and improvements.
- Optimizing existing functionality and implementing new features.
- Reviewing and providing feedback on code written by colleagues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should bring:
- 4+ years of professional experience with Python.
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Hands-on experience in Linux system programming.
- Knowledge of RPM package building and Shell/Bash scripting.
- Solid experience with SQL and version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with Ansible, Vagrant, and Jenkins.
- Experience conducting code reviews and proposing performance optimization solutions.
- English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher.
- (Nice to have) Knowledge of C, PHP, Perl, or JavaScript.
- Personal qualities such as proactivity, fast learning, strong motivation, problem-solving ability, and team collaboration skills.
