This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage a high-impact Department of Defense program focused on research, development, testing, and transition of emerging resilient technologies. The Program Manager will oversee programmatic and technical execution, coordinate resources, and drive strategic growth while working closely with military commands and program offices. Accountabilities
- Manage all programmatic and technical aspects of the DoD STED Program, ensuring successful execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Oversee program/contract management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with military Combat Commands and Program Management Offices to expand program participation.
- Lead program reviews to track cost, schedule, and technical performance, mitigating risk and ensuring quality outcomes.
- Support business development efforts, including identifying technical solutions and contributing to proposal development.
- Assist in executing career development plans for team members and mentoring staff.
- Apply organizational methodologies, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance and program efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 10+ years of professional experience, OR Master’s degree with 8+ years, OR PhD with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience working with US Special Operations Forces, USSOCOM Program Management Offices, or Combat Commands.
- Demonstrated ability to lead mid-size to large DoD programs, including personnel management and client engagement.
- Strong understanding of technical requirements with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, familiarity with DoD program evaluation and technology transition, and Special Forces background are preferred.
