This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Technical Consultant, Cloud Networking in the United States.
We are seeking a senior-level Cloud Networking professional to lead the design, automation, deployment, and integration of networking and network security solutions across major public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This role involves guiding clients through technical strategy, optimizing on-premises networks for cloud adoption, and ensuring resilient, manageable infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and provide expert consultation to clients on complex networking challenges. The position combines hands-on technical delivery with client-facing leadership and offers the opportunity to influence cloud transformation initiatives at scale.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the design, deployment, and automation of public cloud networking and security solutions.
- Act as a technical escalation point, resolving incidents and problems while leveraging expertise from manufacturers and team members.
- Communicate project status and technical guidance to client stakeholders and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as subject matter expert in workshops and client engagements, creating detailed assessment and design deliverables, including diagrams and documentation.
- Mentor and train junior team members, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
- Continuously develop technical skills through certifications, training, and conferences.
- Represent the organization professionally with clients, partners, and peers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of consulting experience or equivalent in cloud networking and enterprise IT.
- Expertise in Terraform for provisioning and managing public cloud resources.
- Advanced knowledge of network security, data center networking, and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Experience as a technical lead on small to medium-sized networking projects.
- Strong consulting, communication, and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and solve complex technical problems.
- Relevant expert-level certifications such as CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, AWS Network Specialty, or equivalent.
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
