This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design and development of next-generation user interfaces that bring complex data, media, and intelligence to life. You will shape the UI architecture for both web and mobile platforms, spearhead a growing engineering team, and collaborate closely with design, product, and platform teams to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in frontend development, with expertise in React.js, TypeScript, and real-time media APIs, while also possessing strong design intuition and a deep sensitivity to user experience. This position allows you to influence technical strategy, mentor team members, and integrate AI-assisted workflows to accelerate development and enhance user interactions. You will play a pivotal role in advancing innovative UI/UX experiences and ensuring consistency and quality across the product ecosystem.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of core UI systems across web and mobile platforms.
- Mentor and grow a frontend engineering team, defining technical standards, best practices, and design excellence.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with design, product, and platform teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Design and implement voice- and video-enabled interfaces using MediaRecorder, Web Speech, WebRTC, and related APIs.
- Build immersive, high-performance UI experiences for real-time streaming, interactive media, and data visualization layers.
- Integrate AI-assisted development tools and workflows to accelerate prototyping and improve developer productivity.
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews, design critiques, and architectural oversight.
- Collaborate with backend and data teams to define API contracts and ensure integration consistency.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and engineering rigor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 14+ years of frontend/UI development experience, including at least 2 years in a technical lead or architect capacity.
- Proven experience leading or scaling frontend engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in React.js, React Native, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Proficiency with voice, video, and media APIs (MediaRecorder, Web Speech, WebRTC).
- Experience building high-performance native web apps and cross-platform UIs.
- Strong UX and design sensibility, with experience in design systems and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, micro-frontend architectures, or monorepo setups preferred.
- Experience with data visualization frameworks (e.g., D3.js, Deck.gl) preferred.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or custom LLM integrations) is a plus.
- Passion for developer experience, emerging technologies, and innovative UI/UX solutions.
