This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Offensive Security Engineer in the United States.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated cybersecurity professional passionate about offensive security and adversary simulation. You will work on challenging projects that test the limits of security, developing exploits, payloads, and custom tools while enhancing continuous threat exposure management platforms. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with expert teams, contribute to cutting-edge security initiatives, and directly influence the protection of organizational systems. You will gain exposure to advanced technologies, cloud environments, and application security while operating in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. The role requires technical excellence, creativity, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities. Relocation to Austin, Texas is required for the first year.
Accountabilities:
- Provide technical expertise on complex security projects for professional services and managed services clients.
- Develop custom methodologies, exploits, payloads, and security tools to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to the enhancement of continuous threat exposure management platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, test, and secure applications, cloud infrastructure, and networks.
- Conduct research on emerging security threats and implement new defensive strategies.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, security practices, and documentation.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience and passion for offensive security and adversarial engineering.
- Experience in one or more areas such as product security testing (application, mobile, LLM), cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), web application penetration testing, network penetration testing, red team exercises, IoT security, secure code review, reverse engineering, vulnerability research, or exploit development.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics.
- Experience with security competitions, Capture-the-Flag challenges, or notable achievements on testing platforms is a plus.
- Certifications such as OSCP, PNPT, OSWE, OSCE, OSEP, OSED, or relevant cloud/security certifications are advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently and in teams.
