This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Network Automation Engineer in the United States.
In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing automation tools that ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance data center networks. You will work on infrastructure-as-code frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems while collaborating closely with network and data center engineers. This position allows you to combine hands-on coding, system infrastructure management, and networking expertise to deliver solutions that directly impact operational efficiency and service reliability. You will contribute to frameworks, dashboards, and processes that support large-scale network environments, while being part of a team focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain automation tooling, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines to manage data center networks.
- Work extensively with infrastructure-as-code frameworks to configure networks and monitoring systems.
- Partner with network and data center engineers to implement system changes and new features.
- Create metrics and dashboards to track network and tool performance.
- Assist in designing frameworks and processes for network inventory, monitoring, and configuration management.
- Identify and troubleshoot system or tooling failures to ensure reliable network operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support network stability and availability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Automation Engineer.
- At least 2 years of experience with networking device configurations (Juniper, Arista, Cisco).
- Strong knowledge of network transport and routing protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, BGP).
- Solid Linux administration and scripting skills.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or Nagios.
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline development and management using Jenkins, GitLab Runners, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Go.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
