We are seeking a motivated Infrastructure Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems. This role involves developing backend services, APIs, and developer-facing tools to support hybrid cloud and edge infrastructure. You will collaborate with internal teams to enhance platform usability, implement automation, and maintain observability across distributed environments. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and operate infrastructure systems spanning data centers, cloud environments, and edge devices.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes-native systems using GitOps workflows.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code, automation, and observability tools and services.
- Collaborate with internal application teams to enhance platform usability and implement feedback.
- Participate in system design reviews, incident retrospectives, and RFC processes.
- Ensure infrastructure security and implement best practices for secrets management and access control.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and developer tooling initiatives.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or software engineering.
- Proficiency with modern programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
- Experience with containerization, Linux, SQL, NoSQL, and service mesh technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices.
- Interest or experience with open-source infrastructure and observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with public IaaS providers (AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean, etc.).
- Experience running production infrastructure platforms such as OpenStack, Ceph, Kubernetes, DBaaS, or API gateways.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud and edge system architectures.
- Familiarity with developer tooling, frameworks like React, Angular, Node.js, or Spring Boot.
- Awareness of sustainable infrastructure practices and cost/resource optimization.
