We are seeking a strategic and visionary engineering leader to drive the modernization and scalability of our core platform. In this role, you will lead platform engineering teams responsible for infrastructure, internal services, tooling, and modular components that empower multiple product squads. You will define architectural standards, design scalable APIs, and implement event-driven systems that support AI-driven workflows and partner integrations. This position offers the opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a rapidly evolving product ecosystem, improve developer experience, and enhance operational efficiency. You will operate in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, balancing long-term architectural vision with immediate execution needs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be critical to ensure platform decisions align with business objectives and enable innovation across the organization.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the modernization of the platform, transitioning to a modular, API-first, and event-driven architecture.
- Design and maintain platform services, internal APIs, and shared components to ensure clarity, reliability, and extensibility.
- Build and maintain secure, observable, and highly available infrastructure to support scale and performance.
- Improve developer experience through tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and internal platforms that reduce friction and operational overhead.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, Growth, Finance, and Operations teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Establish architectural standards, guardrails, and best practices to guide engineering teams.
- Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing engineers while fostering a culture of craftsmanship, iteration, and high performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience, with significant leadership in platform, infrastructure, or backend systems at scale.
- Proven experience modernizing legacy architectures into modular, service-oriented, or event-driven systems.
- Strong technical expertise in distributed systems, APIs, cloud platforms, infrastructure, and developer tooling.
- Experience supporting AI/ML workflows, real-time pipelines, or workflow automation (preferred but not required).
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams with a focus on engineering excellence.
- Systems thinker capable of simplifying complexity while building for speed, reliability, and long-term extensibility.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical constraints into clear business impact.
