This role is designed for an experienced architect to lead the design and implementation of Field Service Management (FSM) solutions for organizations in the utilities and energy sectors. You will translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and integrated technical architectures, while guiding cross-functional teams and mentoring technical staff. By collaborating directly with clients and internal stakeholders, you will ensure solutions align with industry best practices, enhance operational efficiency, and support digital transformation initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence technology strategy, shape innovative FSM solutions, and lead teams to deliver measurable business outcomes across multiple client environments.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of FSM solutions tailored for utilities and energy organizations.
- Develop detailed architectural blueprints outlining system integrations, data flows, and technical specifications.
- Provide technical guidance throughout solution implementation, ensuring adherence to design, security, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and business analysts to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and present architecture strategies.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Establish best practices for solution design, coding standards, and system integration, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience implementing FSM solutions, ideally within utilities and energy sectors.
- Proven success leading complex FSM projects and integrating with ERP, CRM, CIS, BI, or data warehouse systems.
- Hands-on experience with web-based application development using XML, JSON, HTML5, AngularJS, or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of utility operations, asset management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience planning, designing, and developing enterprise system integrations using SOAP and REST web services.
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead technical teams effectively.
- Exceptional project management, communication, and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.
- Professional certifications in solution architecture or relevant technical areas are a plus.
- Familiarity with GIS integration, mobile workforce management, and emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, or Machine Learning applied to FSM.
