The Engineering Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, mentor and grow the team, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Accountabilities:
- Lead and mentor a remote team of engineers, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Manage day-to-day team operations, including sprint planning, project execution, and SRE responsibilities.
- Deliver complex, high-impact projects, providing technical guidance and expertise.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define long-term business strategy and priorities.
- Establish and monitor operational metrics to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions.
- Promote best engineering practices across the team and organization.
- Foster a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, diversity, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of people management experience, including leading remote engineering teams.
- Proven experience hiring, developing, and retaining diverse technical talent.
- Deep technical expertise in building scalable web services and data products, preferably in AWS environments.
- Strong operational excellence mindset, with experience in monitoring, metrics, triage, testing, and code review practices.
- Track record of executing product vision, strategy, and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Customer-focused, with a passion for understanding and solving user problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and business stakeholders.
