This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and execute an organization-wide strategy for data, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence. The Director will oversee the design, deployment, and governance of data platforms, BI tools, and AI/ML initiatives that drive operational efficiency, predictive insights, and automation across the business. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of enterprise data infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions. Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise strategy for data, business intelligence, and AI aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead the creation and management of a Data Governance Council to ensure data integrity, compliance, and transparency.
- Oversee enterprise BI platforms, cloud analytics environments, and unified data pipelines for accurate and timely reporting.
- Drive AI and machine learning initiatives to optimize operations, forecasting, logistics, pricing, and asset utilization.
- Establish and enforce AI governance frameworks for ethical, responsible, and secure use of technologies.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing data and analytics team focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner cross-functionally to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or enterprise data management.
- 5+ years of leadership experience building and scaling high-performing data and BI teams.
- Proven success implementing AI, machine learning, or automation initiatives in an enterprise setting.
- Strong expertise with modern data stacks (ETL, cloud data warehouses, APIs) and BI tools, including experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, MI Flow, or SQL Analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data governance best practices.
- Exceptional business acumen with the ability to connect data strategy to operational execution.
- Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, or service industries preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
