As a Data Scientist I, you will enhance existing models, build new machine learning solutions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into data-driven insights. Accountabilities
- Develop, refine, and deploy machine learning models powering marketplace operations, including scoring, pricing, and optimization.
 - Contribute to both greenfield and ongoing projects, bringing innovative approaches to predictive and prescriptive analytics.
 - Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into data science solutions.
 - Design experiments, evaluate model performance, and implement testing frameworks to ensure accuracy, reliability, and business impact.
 - Explore new datasets and techniques to expand AI capabilities and enhance decision-making.
 - Support model deployment and monitoring in cloud environments (AWS preferred), ensuring smooth operation and scalability.
 
Requirements
- Approximately 2 years of experience as a data scientist or equivalent role, with demonstrable impact on business outcomes.
 - Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, or LightGBM.
 - Solid SQL skills and the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
 - Understanding of statistical modeling, experimentation techniques, and exposure to deep learning or generative AI.
 - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and interest in learning MLOps practices.
 - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
 - Comfortable working in small, collaborative teams with direct impact on products and processes.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BI tools like Looker or Tableau for data analysis purposes.
 - Familiarity with end-to-end model lifecycle, including feature engineering, model deployment, and performance monitoring.
