As a Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and supporting control systems for mission-critical mechanical infrastructure. Accountabilities:
- Support the programming of control sequences for mechanical infrastructure and automation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to meet performance and reliability objectives.
- Assist in hardware troubleshooting and repairs to maintain critical infrastructure operations.
- Document engineering activities, prepare technical reports, and present updates to stakeholders.
- Stay informed on the latest trends and technologies in controls engineering to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Participate in project coordination and contribute to the continuous improvement of system design and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of control sequence programming and automation systems.
- Experience or internship background in controls engineering preferred.
- Familiarity with the Tridium Niagara platform is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote and cross-functional settings.
- Willingness to occasionally travel (up to 10%) and work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when necessary.
