As a Computer & Information Systems Manager and Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will play a critical role in shaping and executing technology strategy within a complex federal IT environment. You will oversee the evaluation, integration, and optimization of IT systems while aligning technology investments with organizational objectives and compliance requirements. This position requires leading cross-functional teams, fostering innovation, and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and security. You will drive the adoption of emerging technologies, including cloud computing, AI, and data analytics, while ensuring robust cybersecurity measures. Your work will directly influence the success of strategic initiatives and the continuous improvement of IT service delivery.
Accountabilities
- Lead the strategic evaluation and integration of emerging technologies to improve efficiency and innovation across IT operations.
- Oversee the assessment and modernization of IT infrastructures to ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and execute comprehensive IT strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Foster strong collaboration with stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to implement cohesive technology solutions.
- Guide the adoption of IT best practices, standards, and methodologies such as Agile and DevOps to enhance operational excellence.
- Ensure cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance measures are robust and proactive.
- Monitor technology trends and provide leadership on transformative technologies such as cloud, AI, and machine learning.
- Drive continuous improvement of IT services, making systems efficient, user-centric, and adaptable to evolving needs.
- Lead training and mentorship programs to build team capabilities and a culture of innovation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of proven IT management experience, demonstrating successful strategic implementation and oversight of complex projects.
- Strong technical expertise in cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams toward innovation and collaboration.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks, including FISMA, NIST, and GDPR.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities to anticipate trends and optimize IT operations.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications, such as PMP or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, preferred.
- US citizenship required and active Public Trust/MBI clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
