Backend Developer Level 3

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer Level 3 to design, implement, and maintain robust backend systems for cloud-based applications. This role focuses on building high-performance services, RESTful APIs, and microservices that power modern web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and full-stack engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. You will leverage modern frameworks, cloud technologies, and messaging systems while ensuring code quality through unit and integration testing. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the platform roadmap and influence key engineering decisions in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components for web and mobile applications using Java and Spring Framework.
• Build and enhance microservices architectures with RESTful APIs and messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and full-stack engineers to iterate on feature design and implementation.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize backend processes.
• Contribute to architectural planning, API upgrades, and long-term scalability of the platform.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of high-quality software development.

Requirements

• Strong Java programming skills and deep knowledge of data structures.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Dependency Injection, Spring Security, REST, Messaging).
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker), version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of messaging architectures (Kafka or equivalent).
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities and deliver quality work under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
