As an Azure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure for enterprise clients, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing environments. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide technical solutions, and maintain operational excellence across Azure services. This role offers the opportunity to develop automated monitoring and incident response systems, support DevOps initiatives, and mentor junior engineers. You will gain hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and a range of Azure services while contributing to process improvements and best practices. Accountabilities:
- Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and positive customer engagement.
- Manage scalable infrastructure using Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, including AKS, networking, and cost control measures.
- Implement DevOps practices, including Azure DevOps pipelines, infrastructure provisioning via Terraform, and secret management.
- Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis, post-mortems, and continuous improvement of incident handling.
- Apply ITSM best practices for incident, change, and problem management to maintain operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain automation and monitoring tools using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and support operational teams in achieving technical and operational goals.
- Support Windows and Linux VM operations, including patching, backups, and basic troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies and services.
- Strong expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS offerings such as Azure App Service, SQL Database, Storage, Functions, and Active Directory.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, microservices, and DevOps practices.
- Prior experience with incident management and applying ITSM frameworks.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Graduate degree in a technology-related field is required.
