As an Azure Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions in a cloud-based environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable insights, ensuring high-quality, efficient data flow. This role requires expertise in Python, SQL, and Azure services to implement and optimize data solutions. You will contribute to enterprise-wide data initiatives, support testing and documentation, and help establish best practices for performance and maintenance. The position offers a collaborative environment with opportunities to become a subject matter expert while working on innovative data projects that impact business decisions. Accountabilities
- Create and maintain data pipelines leveraging existing data ingestion frameworks and tools.
- Orchestrate pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related services.
- Develop and enhance data transformations to load data into Enterprise Data Lake, Delta Lake, and Synapse Analytics.
- Perform unit testing, coordinate integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Produce high-level designs, detailed documentation, and runbooks for data pipelines.
- Configure compute resources, enforce data quality rules, and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless data integration and governance across projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Databricks Data Engineering, DLT, Azure Data Factory, SQL, PySpark, Synapse Dedicated SQL Pool, Azure DevOps, and Python.
- Preferred: experience with Azure Function Apps, Azure Logic Apps, COSMOS DB, and advanced PySpark.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Databricks Delta Live Tables, and Azure Data Factory.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
