This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Azure Cloud Architect Level 3 in the United States.
As an Azure Cloud Architect Level 3, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale data management platforms in Azure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence. This role requires hands-on expertise with Azure services, big data technologies, and modern data platform best practices. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technologist who can provide technical leadership, mentor teams, and drive improvements across cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and analytics environments. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the platform’s future while ensuring alignment with industry standards and enterprise requirements.
Accountabilities
- Architect Azure cloud solutions for data management platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Lead the design and implementation of data warehouses, data marts, and big data platforms, including streaming and batch data pipelines.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across multiple teams, including Platform, API, DevOps, Operations, and Product Management.
- Implement Azure-native technologies such as Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Event Grid, Synapse, Cosmos DB, and Azure Functions.
- Support data platform operational activities, including triage of production issues and tier 3 support.
- Ensure adherence to data security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Review and provide feedback on code changes, support production deployments, and deliver hands-on contributions to platform development.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms.
- 10+ years implementing data warehouses, data marts, and MPP-based big data solutions.
- 3+ years of experience with PySpark/Spark and Databricks.
- Strong expertise in Azure data services including Azure SQL, Synapse, ADLS, Blob Storage, Data Factory, Stream Analytics, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL stored procedures.
- Understanding of network and data security architecture and best practices.
- Experience with data platform performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and architectural solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
