We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer focused on service reliability to ensure the performance, scalability, and availability of critical enterprise applications. In this role, you will work across systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, Mulesoft, Oracle Integration Cloud, ServiceNow, and custom-built solutions, collaborating closely with development and operations teams. You will leverage your expertise in automation, monitoring, and incident management to proactively prevent issues, optimize system performance, and support business-critical operations. Accountabilities

As an Application Support Engineer, you will:

  • Design, manage, and optimize infrastructure and applications to ensure reliability, scalability, and high availability.
  • Monitor system performance using automated tools, metrics, and dashboards to detect and resolve issues proactively.
  • Lead incident response during service disruptions, coordinating with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurring issues.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and reduce manual interventions.
  • Partner with development teams to integrate reliability best practices into software design and deployment.
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation for troubleshooting, knowledge sharing, and operational continuity.
  • Identify areas for improvement and apply advanced technologies and operational practices to enhance service reliability.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience managing and maintaining highly available systems, including cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Strong programming skills to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in monitoring tools, incident management platforms, and metrics analysis.
  • Deep understanding of system performance optimization, cloud platforms, databases, CI/CD, distributed systems, and security best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Analytical and methodical problem-solving approach under pressure, with the ability to anticipate future issues.
  • Demonstrated ownership and proactiveness in identifying potential performance bottlenecks and operational improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Familiarity with advanced observability tools and incident management platforms.
  • Experience in high-scale enterprise environments supporting multiple business-critical applications.
