Job Description:
Join KAIKAKU.AI as a Hardware Engineer to drive the development and deployment of Fusion, our modular food assembly robot. You'll ideate, prototype, and support manufacturing, bringing innovative hardware solutions to restaurants. This role offers significant autonomy to iterate rapidly and make a tangible impact on the future of the restaurant industry.

What you will do:

  • Support and lead aspects of Fusion (our modular food assembly robot) development and deployment.

  • Ideate and rapidly prototype design changes, leveraging 3D printing for hourly iterations.

  • Support manufacturing, production, and real-world deployments into restaurants, including training, troubleshooting, and customer success.

The ideal candidate:

  • Possess strong CAD skills, specifically with Onshape, and extensive experience with rapid prototyping techniques (FDM, SLS, SLA 3DP, laser cutting, sheet metal).

  • Demonstrate excellent design creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a keen appreciation for Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DfMA).

  • Hold a Masters in Mechanical, Design, Aerospace, Product, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering, with a passion for complex mechatronics systems.
