The ideal candidate has a background in water and wastewater operations and maintenance, excellent instructional skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, real-world applications.
Requirements
- Deliver in-person and virtual technical training to water and wastewater utility staff
- Train teams on O&M best practices related to treatment processes, distribution and collection systems, equipment, instrumentation, controls, and safety
- Develop, customize, and update training materials (presentations, manuals, job aids, SOPs) aligned with regulatory requirements and operational goals
- Conduct needs assessments to identify skills gaps and recommend training solutions
- Collaborate with utility leaders, engineering teams, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure training relevance and accuracy
- Ensure training aligns with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including EPA, state primacy agencies, OSHA)
- Track training participation, effectiveness, and outcomes; provide reports and recommendations for improvement
