Why work at InductiveHealth?
What you'll be doing in this role:
Develop Automated Test Scripts: Create, run and maintain automated tests for critical web application workflows using tools like Selenium WebDriver and Playwright frameworks. Create robust scripts to validate UI functionality, workflows, and data integrity across InductiveHealth’s product suite.
Ensure Software Quality: Work alongside QA and development teams to understand application behavior, implement comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, and end-to-end scenarios. Continuously improve test coverage to maintain high reliability of our applications through regular releases.
Leverage AI & Modern Tools Effectively:Utilize AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve productivity in test design, scripting, debugging, and maintenance. Work with generative AI assistants (e.g., code-completion, test case generation tools) to accelerate script development and maintenance. Maintain self-healing test frameworks and AI-based analytics to reduce flaky tests and improve defect detection.
Execute and Monitor Automated Testing: Monitor automated test runs, analyze failures, document findings, and ensure timely resolution of any breaking changes.
Document Test Assets and Results: Document test steps, results, and defects clearly. Maintain testing artifacts (test plans, cases, scripts) in our repository. Provide concise reports on testing progress, coverage, gaps, quality risks, and related quality metrics to the team.
Learn the Product and Domain: Build understanding of public health domain and InductiveHealth’s applications (like disease surveillance workflows, data privacy requirements). Ensure testing approaches account for relevant regulatory, security and accessibility standards (e.g., data confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, 508 Compliance).
What are we looking for?
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in software testing including QA automation. A solid understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and bug life cycle is essential.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience writing automation scripts for web applications. Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver (or similar UI automation tools) required; familiarity with Playwright is a plus. Competency in at least one programming/scripting language commonly used for test automation (Python or TypeScript preferred).
AI Exposure:Exposure to AI/ML tools in testing (for example, using GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI-driven test generation or analysis tools) is highly valued. The ideal candidate is open to learning and incorporating AI to improve testing efficiency.
Tooling & Dev Practices: Experience with version control (Git). Familiarity with test management and bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps) in an Agile environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. Equivalent practical experience or relevant certifications will also be considered.
What will make you stand out?
Additional Automation Skills: Experience with API testing (using tools like Postman or REST Assured) or performance testing (JMeter, etc.) is a plus.
Domain Knowledge: Prior exposure to healthcare or public sector software (e.g., electronic health records, health data standards like HL7, or immunization systems) is beneficial but not required.
DevOps & Cloud: Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) or containerization (Docker) as related to test environments.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate in a remote team. Work effectively in a complex and evolving application environment. A proactive attitude to learning new tools and improving processes continuously.
