The Role:

Imply is looking for a full stack engineer to join the Data Engineering team at Imply. You will work on systems that empower our customers to tune their databases to run them in the most cost efficient way possible. You’ll love this role if you:

• Are excited to do impactful work with a small team of multi-talented engineers, while having fun in the process

Responsibilities:

• Build user experiences that make it easy for customers to gain insights from TB of metric data collected from a complex distributed system
• Collaborate closely with our product, user experience, and quality teams to quickly and iteratively deliver high value features that are scalable, accurate, and secure
• Participate in on-call rotations, post-incident reviews, and other operational duties as needed to ensure service delivery quality.
• Write tests to cover all functional requirements

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience building production-grade single-page applications using React or similar libraries (Vue, Angular, Svelte, etc)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices such as agile methodologies and CI/CD, with a deep focus on testability and quality
• Proficiency with Typescript is preferable, or a deep understanding of Javascript combined with some experience with statically-typed programming languages

Bonus Points:

• Experience building observability platforms for complex distributed systems
• Past experience working with Druid or other big data analytics systems like Hadoop, Presto, Spark, etc.

Individual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications aligned with Imply’s internal levelings guidelines and benchmarks. The below range encompasses roles with on target earnings. This role is also eligible to participate in Imply’s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

Compensation: $80,000 - $170,200
