Responsibilities
- Prepare data files, including data cleaning, recoding variables, computing new variables, and aggregating and splitting datasets using R.
- Conduct statistical analyses in R, including descriptive and inferential analyses
- Work with team to interpret and derive actionable insights from findings
- Work with team to design visualizations that effectively communicate complex data to lay audiences
- Review academic and industry literature for relevant contextual information
- Conceptualize and propose topics for further analysis and research
Qualifications
- Graduate student or equivalent with strong quantitative skills in applied statistics, organizational development, organizational psychology, public administration, education, psychology or sociology
- Experience with quantitative research methodologies in the social sciences
- Interest in youth development, education, and mentoring
- Proficiency with both Excel and R (including scripting and multivariate statistics). Note: All candidates who are selected to be interviewed will be required to complete a short statistical analysis exercise at the conclusion of the interview
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in groups
- Detail oriented
- The successful candidate will also be required to undergo a background check, in compliance with requirements from our schools and school districts.
Compensation & Logistics
- Hours: 20 hours per week, 9:30AM-5:30PM Eastern with some flexibility
- Duration: June – August 2025
- Compensation: $30/hour
- PTO: One hour of sick time accrued for every 30 hours worked
