Job Role: Video Editor
Compensation range: $1,500 - $2,000 AUD/month
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: The client is a digital platform focused on supporting mental health, and outdoor recreation/adventure lifestyle. It provides a safe, relatable space where people can connect, share experiences, and have honest conversations about everyday challenges and life pressures. With an emphasis on peer-to-peer support and community, the platform encourages open discussion and connection, helping members feel supported and less isolated in a digital environment.
Role Overview: We’re seeking a skilled Video Editor to create engaging, high-quality videos for social media and digital platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of storytelling, social media content experience, and the ability to collaborate with content and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit raw video footage into polished content for social media, websites, and marketing campaigns.
- Produce both short-form and long-form content tailored for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Edit ads for Meta.
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to ensure consistency and messaging.
- Add graphics, captions, music, and effects to enhance storytelling.
- Review and provide input on creative concepts and storyboards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, ideally with social media content focus.
- Proficient in editing ads for Meta.
- Proficient in any editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
- Ability to create visually appealing and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Understanding of social media trends and platform-specific video requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, storytelling ability, and creativity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
