Job Role: Senior Estimator/Contract Administrator/Quantity Surveyor
Compensation range: $2000 AUD - $3000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

A custom home builder dedicated to designing and crafting distinctive, high-quality homes across Australia.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a remote Senior Estimator / Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor to support the team as their virtual assistant. The ideal candidate has a solid background in construction and a sharp eye for detail: someone who can read and interpret building plans, perform accurate takeoffs, and prepare reliable cost estimates to support project planning and submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural and engineering drawings (plans, elevations, sections, specifications, and schedules).
- Prepare detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs for materials, finishes, and labor.
- Develop and maintain cost estimates and budgets for residential construction projects.
- Assist with sourcing and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes.
- Update and maintain costing databases and project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the builder’s team to clarify design details and ensure estimates align with project scope.
- Provide general virtual support related to estimation, documentation, and reporting.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in residential construction.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, materials, and finishes.
- Proficiency in takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Buildxact, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
